Weird Jellyfish type thing

I found this floating on the surface at Sangean Volcano off the coast of Sumbawa, Indonesia. It was about 2 feet long, i didn't touch it as thought it may have nematocysts

Any idea? Very weird looking jellyfish if that is what it is....

Could it be some sort of Cephalopod egg sack?

Not sure at all. My first (& only) guess is that it's the detached tentacle from some kind of jelly.
