  1. Hi guys,

I was wondering whether many have escaped from iWeb since they have announced they are not supporting it anymore?

My website today seems to have a problem displaying and think it may be related to me recently migrating to iCloud from mobileme. All I did to it last night was try and update the SEO

Obviously needs fixing so looking to start again rather than fix it.

Has anyone any experience with alternatives, who have actually used iWeb?

I've done a little googling a found RapidWeaver, it seems the way forward, but know a lot on here use SmugMug, can anyone comment on experience of any of these or other alternatives?

What I really want from it is some easy way of using it on my macbook and my iMac, it took too long to do this with iWeb also. I have a wireless hard drive if that helps the problem

Thanks in advance for your help

...oops posted in wrong sub forum, could a mod move it to the correct one please?

...to add further, its just the home page that doesnt work as I've managed to retrieve the gallery here

  2. It's not web-based, but has a ton of nice features, great support, LOTs of sophisticated skins - JlAbulm. Works on all platforms. Free for the most part.

  3. Hi Scubysnaps,

I use (pro) SmugMug now for 3 years and just renewed my account there. I am extremely satisfied with them. The pro-version can be customized to your wishes and their (online) support is very accurate and fast. It will cost you a few dollars but in my opinion it is worth every cent. The pro-version gives you unlimited space and you can always download the original photo although it appears smaller and with a watermark on the site.

    Have a look!

  4. I dig SmugMug too! Had someone customize the site for me and was told it was not difficult.

  5. Jason Brown - aka Bardo on Yorkshire Divers - he does some good work.

    Ah...re-read the post...not looking for a person...but software...try BBEdit, works a treat on Mac.

  6. After several weeks of painstaking nights at my desk, I've eventually completed a revamp of my website using Zenfolio premium template, more trip galleries to be added in due course, once I'm back from a trip to Bonaire, but most of the technical stiuff is now complate.

Please take a look, I hope you like it
