I have been enjoying trying stuff out with the new INON 'bug eye' lens. Here are my favourite images from the last 2 months.
Most shots still have unsharp edges and I also noticed a dark quarter circle in every left upper corner of my shots. I have tried to photoshop it out with some, and with other ones I could not be bothered.. Not sure where that is coming from.

Hi Xander,
Are you using a canon S95 with an ikelite housing? I have a canon S90 with an FIX housing & have borrowed a friends UFL M150 ZM80 lens. Took it for a dive yesterday but found that most of the photos have about 2/3 of the image is blurry. You seem to have similar problems but not quite as bad as my combo.
How far from the front port did you have the actual lens?
I had it sitting on the glass. Not sure if moving the lens in & out would make any difference.
Doesn't seem to be alot of info around from these lenses.
Cheers Pete.
Hi Pete,
I'm using a Canon S95 and Ikelite housing and had the lens sitting as close to the camera as possible. About the corner sharpness, I do not think you should expect sharp corners with this lens, but it helps if you use an aperture of F8.
Cheers, Xander
Hi Xander,
Yeah i went for another dive today with this lens & although the water was extremely surgy & a sand bottom in only 4 metres of water, therefor way to much particles, i was shooting on F8 & i did notice a big improvement on the soft corners.
So that makes absolute sense now. I also found putting the camera into 105mm lens will reduce it some more.
I'll keep trying different combos & see if i can get better results.
Cheers Pete.
Cool shots Xander water !! This lense is pretty interesting to use and you did get very nice pictures with it
