Going diving to Anilao in February :-) 20 days .
What should I be looking for ?
What lenses ? I'm taking my macro kit but should I take wide angle lenses too ?
Any tips or advice would be great

Great place for macro and ultramacro . Some good dive sites for wide angle too .
More nudibranchs than any other place i had been .
I spent 5 weeks diving all around Philippines last May- June and Anilao was ,by far, the most productive week in terms of photography.
Be sure to have a good guide , most of the creatures are really tiny and/or very well camuflaged
Have a nice trip

Here's the link for the gallery i made from Anilao . This will give you an idea of the biodiversity you can find there

Your photos of these critters in Anilao just blew me away. I wonder how you managed to keep the backscatter away from your photos knowing that when the current runs in Anilao, you will got a lot of floating material that will become backscatter.
You shooting 105mm or 60mm macro lens?
elbuzo, I just looked at your Anilao gallery and WOW those are good shots. What a fantastic and diverse collection.
Shadis, Anilao diving is great. It is primarily a macro and supermacro spot but there are also some good wide angle opportunities at certain sites.

Glad you liked .
When i was there ( end of May - first days of June ) vis was quite good most of the dives . It helped that the lens i used more often was the 60mm plus the macromate , so i was really really close to the subjects . For some ultramacro i used the 105 combined with 1.5 TC plus the macromate . Boths lenses on a Nikon D300 .
Also it help me to avoid backscatter to put both stobes as side lightning .

We were in Anilao last year in February. The water temp was 75 degrees. We did dives between 60-90 minutes, so at 75 you will get quite cold. We wore a 3 mm full wetsuit, with a 3/5mm hood. I would highly recommend the hood.
Make sure they take you to do the Anilao pier for a night dive. only 15 feet, but was our best dive. tons of great stuff.

The California Academy of Sciences runs an annual research trip to the Philippines, and last summer scientists discovered 31 new species of nudibranchs around Anilao. Who knows how many other new species are there!
