Limitations of wet WA-lenses?

  1. There seems to be a trend towards large-sensor high-end compacts. With the latest rumor about the Canon G1X as the latest example.

     

    What is the limitations off current WA wet lenses, what cameras will they work with? I suspect there is an issues with the iris given maximum aperture and size of sensor? Anyone that can enlighten me?
