Nudi & gray angel...what do u think?

Any comments or suggestions welcome. Trying to learn.

Both were shot with a Nikon Coolpix 5000 in a Tetra housing;

Gray angel shot at 1/60 @ f6.3, YS90 @ full.

Nudibranch shot at 1/60 @ f5.7, YS90 @ full.

Before I do any critique I want first tell you, that both pics are great! Well Done.

1) The nudi is a littel unsharp and the background (especialy the overexposed partd behind the left "antenna" (What are those called correctly- anyone?)) is distracting.

What I would do is to mask the Nudi (will be alot of work because it has to be done very accurate) and then darken the background heavily and shapen only the masked (inverse the mask) Nudi. The composition is great so it will be probably worth the work.

2) The cropping is suboptimal. There is not enough space over the angle. If this is the same in the uncroppen original Version i would try to crop it also thight at the bottom to get it more symetric. (But because the background is black you can probably just add some artificial black background at the top)

I think the 'antenna' thingies are called rhinophores. Great pictures! I'd generally agree with Simon's recommendations.
