MB vs Mb

  1. Does anyone know the formula when using Mb in use with MB for speed conversions? I believe that it takes 8Mb's to equal 1MB. Is this correct? Pro Res runs at 145Mbps(1920x1080 at 60i.) Therefore, would 145Mb/s be the same as 18.125MB/s? (145 divided by 8) Always found this to be somewhat confusing.

  2. Yes that's right Steve, but it's really a bit rate or bandwidth conversion, rather than speed conversion.
