Nikonos5 wiring diagram

Hi all

With most underwater strobes some time during their life a lead will need to be replaced. i have a few older strobes that work fine but need new leads which I also have lying around, problem is that wire colour are different so the question is do I just use a multimeter to work out what colour belongs to which contact or does anyone know of a breakdown wiring diagram for various makers of the strobes available?
