Whats that 3rd critter - some sort of dragonet? never seen it in my deep south travels...then again you dont see me much around those traps as Im in South Gero...
Jim swims - ID plz?
Gav,
Its a Dragonette of some kind. You really do need to get down here more often
Karl
It's a Fingered Dragonet, Dactylopus dactylopus. Karl do you only see them there in warmer months or all year round?
Cheers,
Jim.
Jim,
We have been finding them for the last few years - mostly at the Ammo Jetty, Woodman Point which is in Cockburn Sound. The Grain Terminal is also in Cockburn Sound but about 10 km south. They have been rather common this last summer but I am unsure of the cooler months because I have never really looked out for them - but I will if you want.
