  1. 2003 Slideshow

    Hi,

I put a small selection of some of my favorite stuff from this last year into a slideshow:

    www.dancing-fish.com/shows/DancingFish2003.exe

File size is about 6Mb, and running time is just over 3 minutes. Requires a PC with sound card. It's the first time I'm manually timing instead of auto synchronizing, so I hope it comes out okay. Apologies to the Mac users :) !

Contains stuff from Bonaire, PNW and Indonesia, some film, some digital.

    Feedback is welcome...

    I hope you enjoy it!

  2. Bravo! Of course the images are brilliant - I wouldn't expect anything less from you. What I really like is your choice of music. It brought a smile to my face. You're really thinking "outside of the box."

    Really enjoyed it!

  3. Linda, excellent slideshow and excellent images.........

We are going to Wakatobi in September...........can't wait!

  4. Linda, your macro photos are superb! My favorites were the clownfish with shrimp, the blue ribbon eel, and the triplefin, but they were all so good that it's hard to choose.

Thanks for posting. By the way, what slideshow software did you use?

Thanks, Larry! I have wanted to use Stardust for a long time. I've experimented with different kinds of music for slideshows, native island, pop rock, blues, jazz, etc. Went to Craig Jones' website and loved his video of big fish schools that used a Sarah Brightman vocal, and it inspired me to try to get a different kind of feel with this slideshow. So, not really outside the box, but inspired...

  6. Karl, you will love Wakatobi. What a prolific place to take photos!

Jim, I use a package called PicturesToExe. I've tried most of the packages out there, and I can't find anything that I like better. And, it's very reasonable!

  7. Linda, Great show! Wonderful photos!

Thanks, Linda, I'll check it out. I'm using ProShow, but yours looks better, especially the captions.

  9. Linda, I was so inspired by yours that I tried doing one till the wee hours. Now I have problems emailing it as the file is too huge for my email system to handle. Hahhahahaha....

A great show you have there!

Oh no! ;) I have given up on emailing mine. I just put it up on my website for the masochistic broadbanders to deal with. Audio takes much of the space. If you can compress the audio, and use web quality images, it will be better.

    And thanks..
