Just got back from long beach scuba show. Among lecturers the dominant theme seemed to be that is was just a matter of time before digital takes over UW photography. Saw production housings for the CP 5000 from
Subal (largest one. second set of monitor buttons to use if you fold out the monitor
L&M, nice feel, but larger than 4040 Teta
Aquatica, nice, had the dome port there for the 19 mm lens.
Some other plastic housings.
Saw a working model of a Gates housing for the Sony 707. A very large housing but aappeared to be very well made and designed. Gates said they expect to have it ready by the end of the summer. It was made of aluminum and had a removable (I think) wide angle port. Mechanical controls, and a synch cord to a Gates strobe.
