I'm sitting here too excited to wait for a new DSLR, my first serious camera (I think It'll be the D70 on order) and thinking about how to best use the thing.
Does anyone use autobracketing underwater? I think that would be ideal--especially for me an inexperienced photographer. I guess it could fill up your cf card quick.
Also, how well does this work for moving targets (Fish)? I imagine that it takes 3 shots in series so they wouldn't be composed the same?
Thanks
Using three shots in series probably won't work with any U/W strobes. They can't produce that much power that quickly. I did accidentally shoot two sequential shots with my Canon 300D and my DS-125s produced exactly the same exposure twice, but at a low power setting. I wouln't want to trust this to always hapen, certainly not with higher power settings.
See Group 5 on the following page for a sample of sequential shooting with DS 125s.
Note: These pics were taken at a depth of 60 feet so all the color is a result of the strobes, not the sun.
Keep in mind that autobracketing on the 300D is much faster than 1 frame per second. You're right, the DS-125 can fully recycle 1/2 of its power in a second...quite impressive.
