Is there any reason not to use the "speedlite" setting in the white balance menu?
Also, I noticed that when I set the AE lock to the on position, I get the crossed lightening bolt (flash disabled) on the display and my ds50 does not fire.
All thoughts appreciated as I am diving with this camera for the first time tomorrow.
Thanx PK
Set your function key to WB. This way you can easily rip through the different WBs to find the one that makes your shot look best. At the scuba show today they said using a WB of incandesent worked well at Sting Ray City. Not sure about the AE lock. Maybe you have the speedlite on auto and the camera is not firing the strobe because the camera thinks there is enough light without the speedlite.
