Adobe CS6 supports MacBook Pro OpenCL GPU acceleration

4 posts
  1. It use to be that Adobe Creative Suite could only support CUDA GPUs from Nvidia, leaving out Macbook Pros (unless you used a hack to get some acceleration). However, with Open CL support, the AMD cards on the Mac Book Pro range can now use Open CL GPU acceleration for Premiere Pro real time work. This is good news for the mobile Mac editor.

Hmmm, have not upgraded all my Adobe sets yet. Might be time. Thanks for making me spend money :D

  3. I thought you went back to FCX?

FYI, I don't own ADBE or AAPL at the moment so I don't have to declare anything! :D

  4. Hmmm it seems to work with any AMD mac card with OPENCL support and 762MB VRAM. Just need to hack the .txt file.
