Hot Shoe broken pogo pin

6 posts
  1. Has anyone ever repair a defective hotshoe nauticam cable? I notice on the hotshoe adapter one pogo pin is broken. If someone could please help me identify the correct size for the pin I could save myself $110.

    Thanks.

  2. wouldn't it be the same size as the other two pin's that are not broke?

  3. Yes they are the same size.

  4. Two options:

    - Cut the other two so they are all the same size (maybe file them too after cutting so they are not rough on the camera).

    - Since you only need two pins (ground and trigger) to make the strobe work, you may be lucky and it may even work without the broken one.

  5. Looking better at the pic, I see that they are retractible... It will probably make contact with some tin foil aluminum paper folded in the broken pin hole...

  6. At first i thought you were crazy. Now I thank you so much! Simple fix always put a smile on my face.
