Just finished a recent Komodo trip on the Pindito. We had a great trip with some excellent images generated by all of the divers. But we had one giant headache. One of the guests did all of her image adjustment on her IPAD, input via the camera kit card reader. Once she was done she created a library of the good images but we could not get them out of the damn Ipad. If we attached the Ipad to any of a variety of laptops (Mac and PC) you could download all of her pics but there appeared to be no way of getting just the worked on images out of the thing. She had the i-photo app that was supposed to beam pics via bluetooth to a computer but that didn't work.
What is the simplest (or complexist) way to get some specified pictures off the Ipad and onto a Mac.
thanks
Bill
Connect the iPad to a Mac with a USB cable. Then use either iPhoto or Aperture, either of which will read the contents of the iPad, to select the photos you want to import
You can also install an app called "FileApp" on the iPad that gives a finder-like interface to click and drag images between it and a Mac
Well we tried the i-photo thing and it would only allow you to import ALL the images, we could not pick and choose. We didn't have aperture. I will try file app and see how it goes. thanks

I should have mentioned that in addition to FileApp on the iPad, you also need to install DiskAid on the Mac. Both are free however, and the finder interface to move and organize individual files works really well. I use this for all kinds of files, not just photos.
iPhoto selects all by default. Just deselect all and then individually select the ones you want.
We tried that (the select/deselect) but couldn't get it to work, obvious user error. Eventually we got it to work through lightroom but you would have thought apple would make it easier to use.
