Which Macro attachment for PT 10?

6 posts
  1. I am about to buy a macro add on lens for my PT 10 and have found two options:

    INON UCL 330

    Oly PCU 01

I was wondering what others are using and which one you would recommend that I buy - looking at the pics of the two lens' I cannot see a whole lot of difference physically and both are more or less the same price ($200/10).

    Any advice?

    Many Thanks

  2. You may also use Hoya 67mm close-up filter for land use or other any land 67mm close up on PT-010 with reasonable quality

  3. "Reasonable quality", how would you rate the quality in terms of a percentage (i.e. 90%, 80%, 70%)?

Also how does it fit to the housing and what did you pay.

Am very interested in your suggestion - many thanks.

  4. I am on 80% satisfaction.

The screw mount is same for all 67 mm filter. So you can mount it as the same way as Inon lens.

The price is around US$25 dollars.

I am not sure how close the Inon lens can focus if it compares with land close up filter.

I also use Sea&sea MMIIEX 3T Lens +adapter on PT010. It can focus closer than the Hoya filter, but less flexible. The reason is Sea&Sea can only use on tele ,and focus range is short.

  5. Thanks.

    Off thread...

I note you are in Thailand (also) - do you know of any stores that sell/stock U/W photo equipment (apart from point and shoot) in Bangkok or Phuket?

Everytime I need something I end up getting on a plane to Singapore. I did find one store at the Chidlom BTS station but each time I go I am asked to write down what I want in a book with my email address and wait for an email - I still have not received a single reply.

  6. Actually, I am not in Thailand.

    The location field display wrongly.
