Rangiroa Help ?

hi,

i will be visting Rangiroa in French Polynesia and Rarotonga in Cook Islands this summer.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to who the best dive operators are. ?

It has been a while since I was there but the Kia Ora Village Resort had the only dive compressor in Rangiroa.

You are going to love it. The diving is terrific. Sharks, Mantas, Napoleon wrasse. Shooting the pass is a 4+knot drift dive. Great Viz.

I was at Rangiroa last month for a week. There are at least 6 dive operators and all offer pick up service. I stayed at Kia Ora Village and dived with Top Dive whose base is only 100m along the beach from Kia Ora. There is a dive operation in the resort (Blue Dolphin) but they are much more expensive. Top Dive do a 10 dive package for CFP5300 per dive. All the operators use the same type of boats (inflatables) and I had no problem with Top Dive. Diving was excellent when the tide was going in the right direction but, as they do not have tide tables, it was hit and miss. You'll have a great time but be warned, the place is expensive!
