Help please - 16-35 or 17-40 on the Canon 5D3

  1. Hi all,

     

    Those with experience of using these two lenses, which would you prefer to house and why please?

  2. 16-35mm II. Not that I've owned either. Alex

  3. I only have the 16-35 II which I presently shoot topside with the 5D3. Of all the glass I own, this is the sharpest. I just don't see the significantly cheaper 17-40 as coming close...

  5. Fairly massive improvement in 16-35II over original 16-35 and 17-40. Both in contrast and sharpness. Needs more port extension though.

  6. 16-35, it's a faster lens, and sharper.
