  1. YS-90 & YS-90 AUTO

    Hi Guys,

I recently bought a Olympus C5060 and PT-020 and I'm now shopping for a strobes. Can anyone enlighten me the differences between YS-90 & YS-90 AUTO.

    Thanks,

  2. They YS90 Auto has a light sensor on the strobe that reads the light returning to the strobe head and shuts down the flash when it thinks the photo will be properly exposed.

The YS90 (Do you mean Duo or YS90DX???) is an older TTL strobe that will only work with your 5060 when the camera is set up in Slave mode. Otherwise, the YS90Duo will fire on the camera's preflash.

If you want a strobe designed to "ignore" the preflash, then you're thinking of the YS90DX.
