IWUPC - Indonesia World Underwater Photo Contest 2013

  1. Dear photographers,

I'm sure most of you have already heard of the Indonesia World Underwater Photo Contest 2013.

This competition is entirely free to enter. Any photographer can submit pictures taken in Indonesia between January 1st and November 30th 2013 while diving with a Participating Dive Operator (PDO). The total cash prize is over USD 200,000!

This is a great opportunity for photographers to get their work out there...

More information about the contest can be found on the official website: Indonesia World Underwater Photo Contest - IWUPC 2013

I started this thread so that Participating Dive Operators (PDO) can officially announce their active participation in this unique competition and facilitate Wetpixel users' search for a dive center with whom to register.

Someone's got to start so here is the first one:

Other PDO's are warmly welcomed to add onto this list.

  3. Anybody know if wakatobi is participating?

  5. Anyone know how or where to find the results of the competition. The results were supposed to have been released last week I thought.

  6. Apparently the results were announced during the Hari Nusantara day festival and the winners exhibited there- but there hasnt been any news from the website or through email as I understand it. There might be some photos online through other sources- but Im guessing you'll need a little detective work to find them.... ;)

  7. The judging was completed earlier this month. I guess the organisers were busy printing the winning entries for the exhibition. I am sure there will be a public announcement in the next few days and hopefully all the winning shots will be displayed on their website and in other places.

    Alex

  8. Hey winners are up!

Such an amazing idea to actually award the dive guides with a chunk of prize money. There are so many phenomenal guides out there that never get the recognition. Way to go!
