  1. Ideal conditions for wide angle but as is the case was set up for macro with aquatica +10 lens. Seas like a mill pond and 20+m of vis. Oh well was fun playing regardless. Here are a couple of snaps, hope that you enjoy.

  2. haven't tried macro in Byrons bay yet but i will do... didn't see as many Nudibranchs as i was hoping for.....

  3. They are there, been mainly focused on wide angle recently but if I start looking seriously will see at 4-5 different types.

  4. How are you finding the diopter to use generally matti? Plus and minuses? I love shot 2 btw. Great detail and lighting.

Just need to know where to look Alastair ;-)

  6. Use of the diopters is not much different from teleconverter or the canon 500D close up lens. Reduced depth of field compared to just 100mm macro but when I get my lens caddy will give me flexibility of standard macro and options of going to super macro with ease lighting is slightly different but much.

  7. lol... very true Mark... saw some Nudies last time... need to move slower next time..

i much prefer using the flip down diopters as you get a little more flexibility during a dive. would be interesting to see how the Aquatica ones stack up against macro mate or Subsee..

  8. Alastair when all the wide angle action slows down I will take you on a Macro dive and show you all the cool stuff. Hugo's trench is the best place for Nudi's at Julian Rocks. Its common to find 15-20 different species on a single dive.

    Regards Mark

  9. Cheers... Mark.. if only someone could look after the kids we would come every week :)

Thanks Matti for the Macro images..
