Seen them before several times on different media!

Hopefully they are common enough that someone knows what they are.

They are white striped coral shrimp

yes, i work as a diver... how can you tell?
hahaha

Thank you, Mike.

I should have specified I was after the latin name.

Alex, Mike was just being modest. They named that shrimp after him... sangatusberlulu botakepalas.

Haha, I know, I was just being a dive guide, making up a name on the spot, we are good like that. Sorry, can't help.
-
Nobody seems able to. I tried it on Facebook today too. Alex
-
I thought I'd give this another bump. Nobody know what these are?
-
Going to keep bumping this one up - as I know people are away.

nice shot!
you can try these:

http://www.starfish.ch/c-invertebrates/commensal-shrimps.html#octocorals
lebbeus family looks similar: http://www.starfish.ch/Fotos/crustaceans-Gliederfuesser/shrimps-Garnelen/Lebbeus-sp1-1.jpg
identifying the coral first can also be the first step to the latin name as some are limited to certain coral species.

Here's mine from Romblon, it's color true so stripes is a bit more yellow/greenish than Alex's. On the same (perhaps) Tubastrea Coral too so probably the same species.
