Sometimes, we here at Wetpixel focus too much on the technical specs/merits of equipment (which is fine, because mastery of equipment is a prerequisite for safe underwater photography). I've occasionally asked people to just go out and try a product instead of obsessively reading about user accounts -- and have been accused of not wanting to help enough.

Sometimes we need to be reminded that an image's worth is almost fully encompassed in its scientific/historical worth or its ability to evoke emotion.
