Anyone ever needed to correct a tilt on an IkeLite housing tray?

  1. I have a new IkeLite 6870.60 Canon EOS 60D housing an noticed that even when my Canon 60D is positioned correctly and tightly screwed down to the mounting tray that the camera seems to be slightly tilted inwards at the top so that some of the control levers like the one that controls the on/off switch don't reach. If I push the top of the camera slightly back then all of the levers and buttons seem to connect perfectly.

Even though all of the instructions say that the tray leveling screw is factory preset and shouldn't need to be adjusted, could that possibly adjust the slight tilt so that the camera leans back more towards the enclosure back?

    Thanks,

    Rick

  2. Hi Rick

Yes you can adjust that and once adjusted see if you can find a washer to fill the gap. I think the ideal adjustment procedure is to put a lens on the camera and adjust the stop so that the lens is centered in the opening. If that fixes your controls then it's great if not then you might have to return the housing to ikelite so they can fix the problem. The will adjust the controls.
