Canon A80 ???

Hey,

Do anyone have good exp. with Canon Powershot A80?

I can only find one pic. at Digideep.com taken by A80.

I cant provide you with an example of taken with th A80.

But I would strongly advise, that you look after the following 2 Features when deciding for a Compact Digital Cameras:

1) You should be able to shoot full manual Underwater (I don't know if this is possible with the A80)

2) You should be able to shoot in RAW to be able to do the WB afterwards (This is not possible with the A80)

I think this are 2 Key features you should have to be happy with the camera even after the "beginner phase".

When you want Canon I can recommend The S50 or the S45 or the G Series (For the G Series you need a third party Housing, that is much more expensive)

There are several examples of photos with the A80 (both underwater and on land) at http://www.pbase.com/kiml/black.

1) You can shoot in full manual mode underwater with the A80

2) You cannot shoot in RAW with the A80, but not everyone needs this ability.

I am very happy with the camera, and expect most people who do not intend on selling their photos would also be happy with the A80.
