  1. Hi,

on my recent trip to Alaska we have found a long sought ship wreck of the Mark Christopher.

I made a short video of it.

  2. Cool stuff, congratulations on a good find.

  3. Nice video. Good storyline.

Obviously the wreck has not been dived before as the obvious souvenirs are still there - like the ship's wheel...

What are the white "sponges" growing all over her?

    Unusual water colour.

    Regards

    Peter

    It is a sponge?

    It is a sponge?

No it is the sea anemone, Metridium senile. I have seen them up to about 1/2 meter long. They are very common in Alaskan waters (especially on submerged wood like this wreck) as well as down south in Puget Sound, etc. Very nice vis (for Alaska) in the vid.

  7. Great shots and nice visibility !

I know how it feels to be the first ones to dive on a newly found wreck.

  8. Very nice

  9. That deserves a big NICE JOB, good narrative, and a sweet wow factor. I've dived a few "secret wrecks" here in California, none virgin, though. Luckily I was hooked up with the right people.
