confused about 5060 wide angle
I am a bit confused about the WA option for the Oly5060. I am buying the Ikelite housing and am wondering if I should go with the optional port with dome lens and the WCON-07C wide converstion lens?
I am an underwater archaeologist who needs the capability of a "accurate" WA lens. I typically shoot in low visibility and low light. I need a camera and lens/port/strobe that will give me the most accurate and best results. Nice shots with most of the structure but with little distortion is what I am truly looking for.
From what I understand there are programs that will fix the barrel effect such as the Panotools. So even if I can fix the distortion with relative accuracy I would be happy. Any suggestions?
Also, does anyone have any experience with the WCON-07C/dome lens? Any sample photos?
Finally, is it even reasonable to think that I could get accurate WA shots with a wide angle conversion lens? If so, which one? And will it be any better than what the 5060 already offers?
Please give it to me in layman's terms. I am not familiar with Olympus but I am told it is one of the better options. THANKS!
