Ikelite Customer Service

  1. Ikelite Customer Service

I would just like to add a very positive testimonial to Ikelite customer service.

A few years ago I bought an Ikelite DS125 and TTL strobe controller for my Canon Digital elph in canon housing. At the time, the manual controller was not available. After some dificulty I was able to make it work, but only manually with the 4 built in manual power settings. This worked some of the time. I asked about this on the board and Ike responded that they had updated circuitry to handle the Canon cameras. I sent mine back and received an updated model in about two weeks. Fast.

Unfortunately I didn't have time to test the new unit before my first dive--in which the unit flooded. I sent the unit back to Ikelite and in two weeks they sent me a brand new manual controller--no charge. I tested it with the camera and it works fabulously topside. I will do some pool testing shortly and give an update. I really like this solution because it gives me at least one knob which I can modify the exposure of my otherwise point and shoot Elph.

I can't say enough about Ike's customer service. The first time I sent my controller in I even somehow forgot to include my letter. When I discovered the missing letter on my desk a week later and mailed it they were able to match my unit with my warranty card and repair the unit. It wasn't lost as I had feared.

I am not associated with the company at all--just one very satisfied customer, and I thought I should share this with others on the board. I am also very impressed with Ike's expert contributions to this site and digitaldiver.net

    Thanks Ike
