I have noticed a number of neoprene covers coming out on the market for strobes. These look like they might help protect the strobes from impact and add some buoyancy. I do have a concern that they may have a significant adverse effect on the heat dissipation ability of the strobes. My YS-D1 manual states that wrapping the strobes in cloth may deform them (huh?). I would be interested in some others opinions regarding neoprene strobe covers.
Thanks, Doug
I've ones made from 3 mm wet suit material for over 10 years with out problems!
Their are quite a few out their now some made by the manufacturers so i would say that it does not make a lot of difference underwater as the water also helps to cool.
I have made my own with 3mm neoprene & some black witch.
