Has anybody made a direct comparison to the SubSee diopters? I'm curious what the operational and practical differences are (weight, working distance to subject, etc), and if there appears to be a significant difference in image quality.

Still hoping to hear from anybody who has had the chance to try both the Subsee and the Nauticam. I have a Subsee 10x and I'm curious if there is a significant difference. It's a pretty pricey piece of glass.
The latest UWmagazine (free) has stories by Alex Mustard and Phil Rudin on the Nauticam and Saga diopters, respectively. There has also been discussion on this on some threads in the DSLR forum. I expect the one on supermacro. The search option should help you find it. In short, the Nauticam has better quality and greater strength than the 10x SubSee, but the SubSee is no slouch either and it is easier to find subjects for the less extreme diopters.
