Arri Alexa XT in a Hydroflex housing, using the Alura 15.5-45mm lens

  1. Roger Horrocks kindly allowed me to post some pics from his commercial shoot using a Arri Alexa XT with a Arri/Fujinon Alura 15.5-45mm T2.8 lightweight zoom. The housing is a Hydroflex, set up with Preston surface focus and zoom controls. The DOP is Mattias Rudh and puller is Justin McGilivray. Obviously the camera is handled by Roger Horrocks.

  2. Nice! Quick question - I am pretty familiar with the Remote Aquacam with Alexa/Epic but have a shoot with a Phantom Flex/Hydroflex RAC coming up - if you or anyone here has experience with this set up, I'd appreciate any tips or "gotchas" I need to be aware of.

...And also bouyancy tips! I've heard of people putting a magliner inner tube around the port hood to overcome front heavy bouyancy characteristics...

    Thanks!

  3. Thanks for posting Drew. That's gotta be a gem to prep.....
