Whale Shark Slaughter

Truly shocking - http://www.scmp.com/news/china/article/1415351/inside-worlds-biggest-shark-abattoir-shocking-pictures-show-scale

They are clearly taking juveniles, too. Cutting the whale sharks' throats to spite their own, destroying the giants to satisfy a very short-term greed.

Horrible.

Even as a tourist spectacle, whale sharks are magnificent:

Unbelievable. Somehow we need to stop the demand, fisherman will fish for anything they can sell.

Bill

When is society going to wake up and protect animals like this?

There is this huge international outcry - and quite rightly so - about the shark culling in W. Australia but this just hits the press once and then vanishes

These people should themselves be skinned and handbags made of their flesh.

Gandhi said: "The Greatness of a nation and it's moral progress can be judged by the way it's animals are treated"

What would that say about the great country of China and it's oriental cousins?

I hate to appear anti-Chinese....but I am so sick and tired of constantly being barraged with tales of their destroying endangered wildlife for stupid medicines and food easily replaced by sustainable harvests or modern medicines. Sick of it! This culture needs to see the global damage they have done for nothing and STOP!

OK, anti-Chinese rant over.....sort of......

i want to cry,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
