Compact flash for S2

Dear friends,

I have to buy a compact flash card for my new S2 and i have found these references:

KINGSTON COMPACTFLASH 1GB

SANDISK COMPACT FLASH 1GB

SANDISK FLASH 2GB

Wich one do you think that it is the most suitable for the camera? Wich one is faster?

Are there other kind or brand that i must check?

I’m not sure if this is a issue with some cards or just particular to my incident?

I have a Kingston 256 Mb compact flash card that I tried to use when I first purchased my S2. I tried to format the card in my S2 but it never formatted. I then tried formatting it in Windows to clear it of any memory it might have had from it’s use in my Nikon 990. Than I tried it again and it still wouldn’t format. I’m puzzled why it won't format in my S2 but it still formats and works fine in my Nikon 990 ? My point, I’ve heard other camera owners with same problem so I’d make real sure it’s compatible before you buy any card, is this a fair assumption ?

P.S.

I’m getting real tired of logging in every time I post, can’t something be done about it ?
