  1. Footage of test dive in Indian Springs cave system south of Tallahassee, Florida, on Sunday using new video lights supplied by Bigblue Dive Lights (http://www.bigbluedivelights.com/). Two 15000 and two 2500 lumen lights used in footage. Video was shot on Canon 5D MKIII using 17-40 mm f/4 L lens at 1600 ISO with Technicolor CineStyle Profile.

    Enjoy!

  2. Nice Video Mike!

    How where the lamps distrubuted?

What had th diver in both hands?

What lamps did you used on the camera?

A test under daylight conditions would be interesting for non cave divers!

    Thanks for posting!

Information on the lights used can be seen at the end of the clip. Two 2500 lumen video lights were used on camera and two 15000 lumen lights were held by the other diver off camera.

We plan to shoot additional footage under different conditions, including open water coral reef and the like....

    Cheers,

    Mike

  4. CRI only at 80 :(

  5.

Yes, those are the ones being used off-camera by the other diver. We are going to work on a syntactic foam collar for these big lights as they are just too heavy (i.e., -2 pounds each) to effectively extend on arms.

We ran burn tests and got 69 minutes on full before the LED blinked red (approximately 5 minutes battery life left), so a little bit more than the stated specs.

  6. Here is some additional footage of the lights from another cave system. This was shot the day before and was our first use of the lights. Darker walls and more fine sediment in the water...

    Cheers,

    Mike
