I have realized that if i shoot in JPEG mode, the resolution is allways 72 pixels/inch. Is that normal? Is it enough for printing? I have a consumer camera and the resolution is 300 pixels/inch.
Wich one is better?
Thank you
Escalar.
If i shoot in raw mode it goes upto 240 pixels/inch....
Escalar.
It doesn't matter how many pixels per inch you have - it's the total amount of pixels that matters.
When you prepare a file for printing, set the DPI to whatever the printer is set for - usually 300 dpi, but they vary.
Cheers
James
Escalar , I think you should buy a book about digital photography and image processing, you ll learn a lot, james told me that and now a few month after having my S2 , tudying the book and make a lot of images in the pool I m very satisfied with the printed results (25*38 cm) shooted in RAW mode and then using CS, it s BETTER as slides with my F100 !
