One of my students is interested in a Mirrorless UW camera sytem. He is looking to start with a housing, and macro port as well as a body and macro lens. He would prefer an Olympus OMD EM1, 5 or 10. He realises the EM5 is probably the only used Olympus system out there. He will buy an entire system with wide angle too. He has heard me and watched me with Nauticam for years and he would prefer the same but please do share what you have to offer. Thanks.

We have recently bought a housing for our EM-1 to replace my wife's EPL-2. We are going to sell the camera body as well as the Olympus housing, Zen dome and macro ports and a tray and handle. We're going to throw in the kit lens that came with the body, but we're keeping the wide angle and macro lenses as well as the arms and strobes. If you're interested please let me know and I'll post some pics.

i just spoke to him. He has his heart set on the OMD not the PEN. What do you think of the EM1? If he has to buy new that is what he plans to buy. Thanks for your response.

I love the EM-1 for land photography. We haven't taken it underwater yet so I can't speak to that. If I were buying a camera for underwater use I'm not sure which way I'd go between the EM-1 and 5. It seems to me that most of the advantages of the 1 such as better autofocus with 4/3 lenses, faster shooting and better ergonomics, don't really apply underwater. But, if he's also planning on using the camera on land, then I would definitely go for the 1 over the 5.

I only know his uw intentions. Thanks for your input and I hope you get what you are asking.

If he's still looking, I have a Sony NX-5N w/ 18-55 lens, Aquatica housing, and appropriate port that is sitting around. Not setup for macro. Could also include Sea & Sea strobe, too.

His list is kind of specific. What it should read is this. WTB: Olympus em5 or em1 in a Nauticam housing. Either the 45mm or 60mm 4/3 lens and matching port. Thanks
