We are planning a vacation in August-September 2014.
During the last 15 years we used to spend our vacations mostly in Asian and African countries such as Egypt(Red Sea @ Hurgada & Sharm El Sheikh), Maldives(Baa and South Ari Atolls), Malaysia(Sipadan), Indonesia(Bali, Bunaken, Moyo), Phillippines(Pamalican), French Polynesia(Moorea & Fakarawa) and also have been in Grand Bahama in Caribbean region.
Now that i promised my wife that i shall be arranging a US trip i am planning to organise a New York or Los Angeles visit combined with a diving vacation somewhere around Latin America or Caribbean. Hawai is also a possible alternative.
Currently i am thinking of travelling to Cancun Mexico and staying at Maroma Resort and Spa and staying 3-4 days at New York on the way back home before our long overseas flight.
I think Los Angeles - Hawaii combination could also be an interesting option. However flights are even longer than the current option i am considering.
Regarding the diving vacation part what i am looking for is:
- Land based upscale resort (preferably with a good SPA)
- Nice beach
- Personalised diving
- Good snorkelling opportunities
I would appreciate to hear any ideas.
