I have two ys110@. One of them, the oldest, turns off on its own when I go deeper thant 10 to 15 meters. The led turns off and the strobe does not work anymore until I go back to shallow water, when it turns back on.
I do not remember the battery compartment has leaked nor the strobe got shocked. The electrodes has no corrosion. I cleaned them with contact spray, change batteries without any result.
I do conclude that it does not like depth. Anybody has experienced this kind of problem? Anyone have an idea on what to do to fix this?
Thanks a lot.
Marc.
Hey Marc
Sounds like the pressure is pushing on something that turns the strobe off. I don't know the YS100 but is there a switch that could be pushed like that?
Sorry this is not more helpful!
Thanks Tim but there is nothing like a switch that could be pushed on. There is something wrong inside the strobe, maybe in the battery compartment. I don't know...
