  1. Sure is a good time to be a film photographer

It looks like "fast talking with the significant other" is back on the menu...

less than one third of retail :D:lol:

(And from Wetpixel classifieds, none the less)

This is one nice housing. Here's hoping, as used to be said in another forum, "chicks dig cast aluminIUm".

Now I just need a chance to get it in the water

  2. This is indeed the best housing I've ever used. I was thinking about making the move to digital and selling mine, but changed my mind. The sale price now is so bad that I will keep mine for another two years until it pays itself, and then buy a digital to be my backup.

Have fun! And try some Fuji slide film, I love Provia 100F for fish pictures.

I should probably take the "avowed lover of E100VS" out of my profile, I have been using Provia 100F heavily for the last year, usually shooting about 4 rolls of provia to every one of E100VS... I haven't been doing much in the way of fish portrait work in a long time though, mainly wideangle, for which I prefer the Provia's handling of blues to E100VS anyway.

I had a look at your fish portraiture shots, very nice work.

  4. I'm finding that the newer print films can deliver pretty good color saturation and grain structure. When I ran out of Velvia 100F I bought some Fuji Superia 200. I love the extra speed and with a wider lattitude I don't have to bracket exposures.

    Enjoy the new housing.
