SOLA 800

I was reading here a quite a while back, about what to do when the light falls back into sleep mode.

Can anyone direct me to that post.

The last time i used the light was in August. before storage i gave it a full charge. So now when i check it the light is on full capasity so thats ok, but checking it on the charger am getting no light .

Hi Marko

It is on Wetpixel for sure - and also on the Light and Motion website but I couldn't find it after a quick scan.

Essentially though you tap the brass charger holes on the light with the charging lead pins on the charger. Sounds crazy but it seems to work!

I got my Sola 800 a few weeks ago. Very pleased with it.

I have both the 500 and 800, and like them both.

Tough Dutch conditions? I guess you must use red a lot eh? Hehehe.....

(my partner is Dutch - excellent people! - and we're moving to NL next year)

I use mainly the the white light for some reason and that depends on the conditions.

moving to Holland get ready for some great diving.

Speaking of Sola 800"s my good mate Goose had one but he forgot it at 20 m some where in the Red Sea mayby he can inlighten us

Hi guys,

Yeah man if any one sees it let me know as its a bloody good light the sola 800 is the tits of a light. I am doing some Cornwall diving in a couple of weeks and I've bought this as a replacement http://www.uwvisions.com/shop/strobes-and-lights/lights/fit-flare-led1200wsr-wide-spot-red.html

but its not a patch on the sola, but hey the budget suits but it does the job.

So where in the Red Sea are we looking?

Night dive at Temple drop off the back off the boat and the reference is the shore, drop down facing the shore and swim off towards 3 o'clock and when you hit the reef its around there, if you see as sleeping turtle you will be on the money.!!!

But i did get a cracking long exposure shot with it before I lost the damn thing.!!!!!
