gopro and filters

  1. Hi,

I am new to video ( until now I am just a DSLR user without taking video).

Question: should I use a filter ( doing the tigershark trip in the Bahamas) or not?

can I get with post editing the same or better results as to using a filter?

I know using a filter will costs me a 1 stop of light, so I think it is better not using a filter in deeper ( darker) conditions as the video will be more grainy or would you advice using a filter in deeper condiotions against post editing?

    Rob

  2. Have a look on the Backscatter website for the flip3.1 video.

It only goes for 2 minutes & that will show you what can be achieved using a red filter.

    Cheers Pete.

  3. Thanks Nick, for some reason I can't seem to link sites or embed video on here anymore :(
