Why would you opt for AVCHD and not Mov?

On the GX7 AVCHD is 24 Mbps h264 high profile mov is 20 mbps main profile so it has both less bitrate and less compression efficiency which means less quality. The gx7 doesn't not have higher quality mov or MP4 at 50/60/100 Mbps otherwise I would go for 100 Mbps ipb
