Nice shots...
"the world's....". You mean like the "world series" which is only domestic ? From what I know, the amount of life and bio diversity around Indonnesia ( Sipadan, Mabul, ( yes, Malaysia ), Sangalaki, Manado etc ) is 5x more that around Florida / Carribean, and those area's are about 5x more than the Mederterainian.
I have dove worldwide - you name it, I have likely been there or nearby. I was born, grew up and dove Australia, dove across SE Asia BEFORE most areas were fished to death, dove California, dove the Red Sea, dove across the Caribbean and just got back from trips to Oz and the Philippines in the past 12 months.
West Palm Beach (and areas nearby) and 100' vis is every bit as good as anywhere else in the world. The reefs are healthy, there is ALWAYS turtles, more often than not sharks and a reasonable chance of seeing something special (last few weeks have included Mantas, Tiger Sharks, Bull Sharks, Hammerheads, Eagle Rays and not long ago some whales). There is also lots of schooling fish - the same dive we saw this Trumpetfish included large schools of grunts (the Caribbean version of Anthias), Yellow Jacks and Great Barracudas.
'bio diversity' just means lots of species - it doesn't necessarily mean better diving. West Palm Beach has an awful lot to offer especially with this sort of visibility. I just wish it was that good there all the time, instead of every now and again.
