Repulse/Prince of Wales

  1. I'm considering a one-week trip out to Singapore (I'm UK-based) to spend a week diving the wrecks of HMSs Repulse and Prince of Wales. I have the necessary certification.

Can anyone please recommend a good liveaboard operator that runs such a trip?

  2. I'm heading there 7th of May onboard MV Ark. Will let you know if it's not too late for you.

  3. Thanks Richard ... dates would be fine, but it looks fully booked on their website :aggressive: I'll try anyway.

  4. We have a space on our booking 8th May - 15th May. It's our private charter (there are 11 of us) if you wanted to join us. I can let you know the details.

  5. Brilliant, Richard, thanks. They have space on their April trip, but I'm not sure the dates work for me. Equally, I think May may be difficult as my boss will be away; but if you could let me have details just in case, that would be really kind.

    Regards,

    Justin

  6. I've PM'd Justin :)

  7. How deep are the wrecks?

  8. Repulse in around 50m and Prince of Wales in around 65-70m. I'm lead to believe.

  9. If I remember correctly, the Repulse sits on around 58m and the PoW is about 70m upside down. I went with the MV Empress's Vidar Skoglie years ago, and there are other wrecks to do as well. Great guy and the boat, while basic has side scan sonar and Tri-Mix/Rebreather friendly and the best part if you have heavy set ups is that elevator that slides you into the sea!

Check with Vidar on his schedule @ vidar@octa4.net.au. I don't think he's set up a website still!

  10. My first time to SCS, in exactly 3 months today! Whoo! We are going with MV Ark. No idea how it compares. But looks good! Can't wait.
