The Nikon 14-24 is 3.8 in diameter, Tom, or 97 mm. SEACAM offers a wide-throat superdome for this lens and Zeiss 15mm at 103mm. The 11-24mm is 109.22, so definitely a bit wider than any lens we've fitted with the wide-throat Superdome so far. We are measured the wide-throat orifice and determined 113mm. Not a lot of room to spare but expect it will be fine.

With the new lens and the new Canon 5Ds in the works, we are very excited to see the US dollar trading so strongly against the Euro, making European housings more competitive in terms of pricing.

    Hi Steve,

Great news on the throat dimension of the newer Superdome! Something Harald should post on his site. This means it should also fit the new Tamron 15-30. There are hints on the internet that the 5DS and 5DRS bodies are the same as the 5D3, which is possibly more good news if all these cameras fit the same housing. See if you can get one of the new bodies to try out. It will be like film again, choosing the body instead (of the film type) according to a given shooting context. Recall Kodachrome II and 25 vs. High Speed Ektachrome, ASA 160, and having to decide which one to load!!!

    Cheers!

    Tom

I sure hope that body fits in my Aquatica..........

Curious to try that lens (which is out later this month), and if it fits in Superdome......
