I tried Craig's filter scheme (CC20M and CC20G) on my trip to Thailand recently. Would have tried the CC30 filters, but the green was hard to come by. I'd special ordered it before the trip but it didn't arrive in time. I have it now to try next time. Anyway, I was much happier with the blue water and sunballs than without the filters. The stronger filters should be even better. Here are a few examples. No color adjustments were made in post processing. The filters are now part of my standard WA setup. This was with a D100 in Titan housing, dual Inon Z220 strobes. Would have liked more rays, but hard with the ISO 200 and sync speed limitations of the D100.

Beautiful shots Linda. Please post more. I used the CC30M and CC30G filters on all my WA shots on my trip. I think they really helped.
I'm jealous. You saw a whale shark and a manta. We weren't so lucky on our trip.
Thanks, Herb. I only did three wide angle dives while there (I'm a macro fiend), so I don't have lots of WA shots, but am including another.
The whale shark and manta were both in Myanmar, which is also where I found the diving to be the best. We were at one particular site for two days, and mantas (there were many individuals) could be seen on every dive. We saw a rhinopias there as well, very unusual. I'm fairly sure I used up some good critter karma on this trip, though!
Great shots Linda, Tell us which wa lens you are using.

What's the name of the site? I'll have put it on the list of places to visit.
Thanks, wackydiver. I was using the Sigma 15mm fisheye, which has the rear gel holder, making the filter stuff a little more convenient. The whaleshark shot has had about a 10% crop, and the others are uncropped. I was pretty happy with the lens.
Herb, the manta site was Black Rock. A terrific site, though our boat picked up a couple of unexploded dynamite pots from the bottom. I hope the dynamite fisherman will stay away from that very special place. The site where we saw the whaleshark was called Fan Forest Pinnacle. Supposed to be wonderful large sea fans there, though to be honest, I have no idea what the reef looked like!
I'm REALLY jealous. We were at Black Rock and didn't see whale sharks or rhinopias! You really had good karma!
Linda I.

So, I guess I shouldn't mention the mimic octopus... (but he wasn't at Black Rock...)
I hope you did see the mantas there!
I didn't know what to expect, not having been to Thailand/Myanmar before, but I know we had exceptional luck. And the food was killer!
