View finder is still available.
I was asked for better pictures of the optics and noticed something visible in the viewfinder (from the side that faces the camera in the housing) that is shown in the photo. I took a picture from an angle to exaggerate it. If you look at it straight on or from different angles it's not noticeable which is probably why I didn't know it was there.
When looking through the viewfinder, as you would when shooting you can't see it (see photo).Wanted to update the post.
