  1. Is it good place for a first trip to Fiji? I know Fiji is wide angle Tokina 10-17 country but I like Macro too

What you guys can tell me about shore diving the house reef in the resort?

I got at the most 4 days to pull the trigger I am open to suggestions

    Check my latest gallery http://tbarros.zenfolio.com

    Thanks

  2. Hi partner,

It's been a while since I've been there but absolutely loved the place. The house reef is a little swim to get out to. Many 50 - 75 yards out the boat channel from the beach but lots of subjects typical to Fijian waters. The variety of reefs accessible from the boats dives is really nice too. If you ask them to take an extra tank along they will drop you off on the way back in from the 2 tank dive and you can get a 3rd in on the house reef. You can cover a lot more of the reef that way. The best part of any Fijian trip for me is the people. They have to be the friendliest folks on the planet.

Oh and don't miss a tour of the village school. You haven't lived until you've been sung to by a couple of hundred Fijian school children.

    Good luck,

    Steve

  3. The to,e we were there the weather was epically bad for all but the last day, which was really good. I remember my would be girl frriend turning to me and sayining, " that was the 4000$ dive"

So all I can say is that it can be really good.

  4. You won't be bored there, the reefs are productive and there are lots of pelagics. Something for everyone!
