Inon 240 Z Maintenance

  1. The spotting light and magnet push buttons on my strobes are getting sticky.

Every thing else is working fine.

Has any one done maintenance on these controls?

    Disassembly procedures?

Is it just 'clean' or 'clean and replace the seals'?

Any other comments/suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thanks!

  2. The magnet push button becomes sticky as the magent inside rust.
When you watch the button well while turning the button you will see a hole in the neck and a smaller lock in the stem.

Insert a small allen wrench or a piece of wire in both holes so that the button can't turn anymore.

Turning the button will unscrew the whole push button assembly from the strobe housing.

I am not sure, but i guess for the focus light button it will be the same procedure.

Greasing the magnets from the beginning will avoid that they rust and disintegrate!
